"I knew I wanted today's class to be on waves," Herc began, "but frankly, I suspect you don't want to learn about the science behind waves right now any more than I want to teach it. Lot of math, it is. And this island isn't exactly well situated for surfing. You can, however, bodyboard in the surf, so I encourage you to grab a board and give it a go. If you don't feel like it, you're welcome to stick around here, there's still sandcastle gear." He handwavily explained how one went about bodyboarding before encouraging them to, "Have fun!"

Eleanor might not be bodyboarding very well, having never tried before, but that didn't mean she wasn't going about it with considerable enthusiasm. Or enjoying the hell out of herself.
