General Physical Conditioning, Thursday, Fourth Period
Duncan isn't here today, but Anders, decked out in his Caprica Buccaneers jersey, is waiting in the gym for everyone. If this were any other kind of class he might look incredibly nervous at having to do his TA thing for the first time, but it's gym, for frak's sake.
The Pyramid court is set up in one half of the gym with the grapefruit-sized ball at center court, though one of the rebounding boards is missing and has been replaced by a makeshift panel cobbled together from spare bits of scrap. There are a few basketballs resting on the freethrow line on the other half of the gym's basketball court, extra Pyramid balls in Anders's gym bag, and warmup mats set out along the sidelines.
"Hey, guys," he says. "Professor MacLeod couldn't be here today, so you're stuck with me instead. Sorry 'bout that. Anyway, for today I figured we could start out with our usual stretching routines, and then you have your choice of playing basketball on that side of the court, or learning to play Pyramid with me on this side. If you pick Pyramid, don't worry, I'm not gonna start you guys out with the full-contact version." He smiles cheerfully. "I'm pretty sure nobody here but me and Cally knows the rules anyway, and there's no time to go over the handbook today, so it's pretty much gonna be getting a feel for the basics."
Sure enough, the most recent edition of the Colonial Pyramid League official rulebook is sitting in the front row of bleachers. Predictable, really.
Anders picks up the Pyramid ball and bounces it off the floor a few times. "Oh, and after class I'll be hanging around for about the next period, in case anybody wants to use the weight room and needs a spotter, or any weight training tips. So!" He claps his hands together loudly and gestures at the mats. "Let's have at it."
[OOC: Posted super-early because I won't be able to do it until much, much later. Slow play, if any, from me until about 5 PM PST. Sorry!]

Re: PYRAMID
He handed the ball to Victor, letting him get a feel for it, and added, "And we won't be tackling today, but the other team can defend or block pretty much the same as in basketball. Not that you can tackle in basketball."

Re: PYRAMID
[ooc: BTW, we totally need to interact more. I saw you at lunch and was trying to figure out a realistic was to interact. Unfortunately, we started planning, so inviting Lana over wouldn't have worked. Maybe next time. :)]
Re: PYRAMID
[OOC: Sure thing! Anytime!]
Re: PYRAMID
And he did, and found out that it wasn't too bad.
