Quantum Physics 225: Wednesday, Fifth Period

"Hopefully you all enjoyed your holiday. I know I did." The Doctor is wearing...tie-dye. Yes. Tie-dye. And the room smells slightly...interesting. Probably from the tubs of colours sitting in one corner, next to a bunch of t-shirts. And sinks have appeared from nowhere. Interesting.

"And since people didn't seem to find analysing very interesting last week, I thought I'd give you something more hands-on. Atmospheric. Without actually taking you to the period...yet...I thought we could all go back to summer camp and tie-dye shirts, listen to Jefferson Airplane, bitch about The Man, and talk about Zen Buddhism.

"No cannibis, but I won't make you sort lentils, either."

John attempts to prettify his shirt. It comes out splotched with pink and blue and looking like he'd spilled paint on it.

"Summer camp," John sighs. "So much easier back then."

Jack is having fun trying to get every single color available onto his shirt. As he's working, he glances over at John. "How's it going?" he asks with sympathy.

"Eh, it's going," John says and shrugs one shoulder. "My shirt looks like a color monster threw up on it and stuff but I'm dealing with it. How're you?"

"Aside from being cast in the play without my knowledge? Pretty good. I have to read the Shakespeare stuff to see who I'm even playing. Somehow, I don't think 'Flute' is the romantic and dashing heroic lead."

"Flute?" John frowns. "You're playing a guy named after the musical instrument? Huh. But, dude, I'll so be there front row to watch and clap and point and say 'That's my friend, Flute!' Because I care."

"You're all heart, Crichton," Sam said, chuckling. She was up to her elbows in dye and her hands were turning a bit green. Plus, her pattern seemed much more camo than tie-dyed. Hmm. "It's been a while since I read it, but I think Flute's an actor. And, er, isn't he the one in drag?"

"An actor. I suppose I can live with that." Then the rest of what Sam said sunk in, and he asked, "In drag? You mean, dressing up like a girl?" He starts snickering. "Oh, man, I've got to read this play now. Does that mean I get to kiss a boy?"
