Flavors, Food Choices, and Menu Planning - Friday, 4th period

"So," Hannibal began with little preamble, "one of the most important things to remember - never try cooking anything for somebody else first. Unless you don't mind offending them," he added with a smile. "You never know when ingredients will behave differently than you expect, or something will take longer, or there are steps in the recipe missing. Always have a test run."

He leaned on the counter. "Next week is ours. Now that we have handwavily decided upon a menu, we will be going over the recipes, discussing anything that you can think of which might be of import, and deciding who will accomplish which parts of the meal. Like a dance or a play - we do blocking. Next week will be our dress rehearsal."

He presented the class with the recipes they'd chosen and the guest count, and stood back to watch. He would of course help when needed, but this was meant to be their show.

Not red meat? Sparkle was so cool with it. Bring on the poultry, yo.

Hannibal would work his way back up to red meat. At least. And meanwhile, he'd just be amused. As if he couldn't hide people in vegetables, let alone chicken!
