Literature- Wednesday- 2nd period

"Hey, it's two weeks in a row where we're here and everyone's themselves! Let's keep that streak up," Jess said when class began.

Way to see the bright side of things, Jess.

"Last week you got a copy of the meta for To Kill a Mockingbird, and if you haven't read it, you get another week. But you also have to have your book report done for then. For today, though, we're going to watch the movie version, and you can include any differences between the book and movie in your report!"

It was hard to get back in the swing of things when you were someone else for a month and then you had like no time till finals, okay.

Easy day? Hey, Jim was all for that. He sat back and watched the movie.

Cosette had read the book already. Sheltered as she'd been before Fandom, a lot of it might have gone over her head except for the other her's memories. The result of this was that she wasn't quite as upset and caught off-guard as she might have been while watching the movie (it was easier to gloss over concepts she didn't quite understand or didn't want to by just skimming past paragraphs or not thinking too hard about them, less so when they were acted out in front of her).

She did, by the end of it, appear to be visibly saddened by the whole thing anyway. Surprised or not, it still upset her.
