Journalism 101/201 (Wednesday, February 22 - 5th period)

Rita sat behind her desk, sipping coffee and looking through some moving pictures with a raised eyebrow.

"Good afternoon, boys and girls. We're going to be working with the photographs you took last week. Please get into the pairs I assign. You will each be given a photograph, and without asking the photographer for an explanation or clarification, I'd like for you to please write a headline about what you see. After writing your headline, please show it to the photographer and explain your reasoning. Please try to be as creative as possible."

Quinn writes the headline for Peter's picture.
Peter writes the headline for Quinn's picture

Rose writes the headline for Anakin's picture.
Anakin writes the headline for Rose's picture.

Draco? You never turned one in, so talk to Rita about a makeup. :)

And I'm going to be gone a lot of the afternoon ~~napping~~, so limited interaction from me until this evening.

THE MOUNTIE SINGS, TOO!!!

"I think that one's pretty self-explanatory," Peter said.

"But it needs to be said, because it's impressive," says Quinn.

"I have to say, he sounded better with the mariachi band than I would have expected. It had to be one of the best versions of La Vida Loca I've heard," Peter admitted.

"Ricky Martin's cute, but way outdated," Quinn says matter-of-factly. "Also, possibly gay."

Peter thought about Quinn's self portrait for a moment. Really, there was only one headline that would suffice.

FANDOM MENACE
Local girl wonders where all the straight boys are.

Peter shrugged as he showed Quinn the headline. "My reasoning for this is that you declared that there were no straight boys in Fandom. Not very tough logic at work here, really."

"I had to take some of that back, though. Like, one percent of the boys are straight. That's it," she says sadly.

"I'm pretty sure the percentage is a little higher than that," Peter said. "We have about 90 students. Anakin's straight, I'm straight, and I'm pretty sure a few others are, too. We're looking at five percent at the very least."

Quinn looks at Peter doubtfully.

"And assuming that the guys with girlfriends aren't just lying to themselves, I'd be willing to go as high as fifteen percent," Peter said, nodding.

"Nope. It's Anakin and the Mountie. That's it," Quinn decides. "Closet boys? Gay. Naked Logan? Has UST with a former date. Nope, it's the whole freaking school, trust me."

"Well, again, there's me. I'm straight," Peter said. "I think it would be reasonable to claim that Marty Blank is straight, too. That's at least four."

"Marty's the date with Naked Logan UST. And you haven't proven it, so there."

Peter was going to have to ask Marty what the hell "Naked Logan UST" meant. The fact that he still thought of a hairy guy with claws when he heard the name "Logan" didn't help matters.

"I was recently broken up with because I came here to Fandom. Before that, I was in a long relationship. Both of these were relationships were with girls. I have nothing to prove to you."

"Then that's like, heresay or something. I don't have to believe it."

"Believe what you want," Peter said.

"Okay then I will."

Just let me hold you while you're falling apart

Rose looks at the photograph and writes:

DOG GONE IT
Local dog has claims of real invisible friend

Fall on me
Tell me everything you want me to be

...shut up. I am tired and crack-addled today.

You really do need that nap. *pats Brorita on the head then tucks the blankets around her*
