Self-Expression- Monday- 4th period
Today the Danger Shop looked a little like the inside of a very plain room. What the students might really notice, though, were the sledgehammers and various tools on the floor.
"Well, I had other ideas in mind for today's class, but then I spent the weekend as a crazy person," Kitty began. "So I decided to take Fandom weirdness as a good way to teach about expressing yourself when you have feelings to deal with. Sometimes stuff happens, and it sucks or it's weird or you're left dealing with something you don't want to deal with. There's the option to talk about it, of course. Probably the best option. You could bottle it up or try to repress, but that doesn't do you much good in the long run. Or you could find some other outlet for it, even if it's just finding a room where you can just scream or cry for a minute or two. Or, you can do something physical. I advise taking a look at the gym if you haven't yet.
"But today, we're gonna get a little destructive, because sometimes that's fun. I want you to take a section of wall, and just destroy it. Really picture something that makes you sad or angry or frustrated and just go to town. It's the Danger Shop, so you can't get hurt, just don't use anything on other students. Also there are markers so if you want to draw or write something on the drywall to help you visualize whatever you're going to wreck, you go ahead and do that."

Listen to the lecture

Maybe Eleanor could claim she didn't speak English.

He'd kind of had a fun weekend, but he never minded a bit of mayhem for a good cause.
Destroy stuff!
moddabletool and break down a wall. You can talk, just don't smack each other with sledgehammers.Re: Destroy stuff!
It hadn't been bad but he just knew he was going to have to face up to some of the stuff he'd done with Emma (again) and he wasn't looking forward to that.
Re: Destroy stuff!
Look, she just didn't have much energy to put towards destroying things when her weekend had been perfectly fine. Probably because she'd been off-island. But that was just details.
Besides, random destruction was more Sparkle's thing than hers. Even if this wasn't real.
After another not trying very hard swing at the wall, she looked around, set the hammer down, and grabbed a few markers instead.
Re: Destroy stuff!
He wasn't even thinking about the whole evil twin thing. Just no.
Re: Destroy stuff!
And then she went to town with the sledgehammer.
That felt amazing.
Re: Destroy stuff!
She shouldered a sledgehammer -- one that looked rather longer and heavier than a girl her size should be able to handle -- hefted it once or twice, then swung away. There might have been a bit of yelling involved.
She wasn't even that weirded out by what she'd done this weekend. It was just fun to take a sledgehammer to a wall.
Re: Destroy stuff!
"You're not really a priest or rabbi or high priestess or anything, right?" He wasn't really upset, just curious.

Cosette hadn't ever really considered hitting things with hammers as a way to vent her feelings about anything, but after picking up a sledgehammer and taking a few careful, experimental swings, she could see the appeal.
