"Depending on how you came into the classroom today," Anakin said, "you are passionately in favor of ordering either Chinese food or pizza for lunch right now. Your jobs today are twofold: get the other half of the class to agree with you on either your cuisine of choice or a compromise food, and then ordering and geting everyone to pay for their order."

He checked his watch. "And you only have ten minutes to do it."

Anakin was a big fan of practical applications of diplomacy. "You may begin...now."

Without waiting for the ten minutes to be up -- or talking to any of the other students -- Joker went straight to Anakin. "We'll have two large pepperoni, two plain, and four orders of breadsticks," he announced. "The school will pay, because it's a class event."

Anakin arched up an eyebrow. "That was fast. How did you manage to get everyone to agree?"

"Oh, they just don't know they have, yet. Trust me on this -- you are never going to get agreement in ten minutes unless someone steps up and makes an executive decision. Just not gonna happen."

"Oh, really," Anakin said. "Are you a negotiating expert?"

"Not in the slightest. But I have been in a group of teenagers trying to decide on food together. There's no better teacher than experience."

Anakin laughed. "The rest of them still have eight minutes. If they don't up with something better, we'll order your pizza."
