Speech Comm

201--2nd period

POWER
"How do you define power? In what ways do you have power? In what ways do others have power over you? Please, no speeches on the power of nature...or electricity. This is a personal issue. Questions? ask."

301--3rd period

POWER

"How does power influence communication? We've talked about trust and intimacy, but it all comes down to power. The idea that the personal is political..."and she lectures on power dynamic in relationships which the mun could have sworn she had bookmarked for the entire period. Take notes and do not fall asleep or play with your weasel.

Phoebe smiles faintly at CJ as she signs in.

She takes her seat and starts writing about how sometimes you have to be on guard to prevent others from getting too much power over you. She also writes about how you have to be careful to act respnsibly when you are given power.

Isabel signed in and starting writing about how knowledge can be a source of power. It's a cliche, but it's true. What a person knows about you, or what you know about them, helps determine the balance of power in any relationship, be it romantic, friendship, or work. For a moment she might have gone off on a tangent about power equaling responsibility but she got back on track quickly.

Maia signed in.

She writes furiously at the beginning of the lecture but as C.J. goes on her writing slows down until finally she is just staring in a daze down at her paper.
