Science You Cannot Possibly Comprehend, Monday, Period 5

"Doom cannot be here today," a Doombot said from the front of the lab. "Much more pressing matters have stolen his attention for the time being. And so today, you will watch a television show that explains the limited, but still reasonably sophisticated view of space this planet had in the 1970s. It is called Cosmos. Watch it or be destroyed."

The Doombot paused. "Get detention. Not destroyed."

Jim could dig a movie day. He leaned back in his seat, crossed his arms and wondered if maybe he could even get a nap in.

Billy wasn't 100% positive that skipping would just mean detention, so he stayed put. A little television viewing was a fine way to spent class.

Cecil wasn't exactly sure he bought most of this, but at least it was sort of fun to watch.
