Blair bypassed the food and took a seat, pulling out a book to read.

Kiki helps herself to a salad, a roast beef sandwich, and an apple fritter.

"Thank you, Chef," she smiles, then heads to her seat where she flips open an old and heavy book to a marked page and begins to study it intently.

the Speghettee-Oo's confused Nadia, since it appeared to just be tomato soup with a whole lot of little circular noodles of varying sizes, but she decided to give it a try.

And in case it was gross, she grabbed a Ruest Beeff Sundvheech as well and found a seat. She pulled out her notebook and proceeded to stare vaguely at her notes while not actually reading them.

Made it look like somewhat less of a loser if no one came to join her, though.

Pippi grabs slightly more then a little bit of everything.

"Hey Nadia! Didja have fun in DC yesterday?"

Nadia smiled up at Pippi. "Yeah, it was pretty neat. You know, other than nearly getting arrested or something at the FBI building. . . ."

"Aw man." she said popping her soda open.

"I'm sorry I missed it... Was this before or after the hot guy with the dark hair?"

Nadia shook her head with a small smile. "After. But we did see him again. They were talking about something that sounded like Fandom, so Blair wanted to follow them. We, um, got caught in a restricted area."

"Ohhh!" Pippi ohhhed. "So we may see them again? What did they say?"

She sipped her soda.

"Restricted? Did you find any of those evidences of conspiracies Blair is always talking about?"

Nadia shrugged. "We found a stairwell. And the hot guy sounded really interested in coming here, but the redhead just kept rolling her eyes. I don't think she believes in vampires, demons, and aliens." The poor naive fool. Of course, before Nadia came to Fandom, she hadn't believed in those things, either. . . .

"Some people are just no fun." Pippi shrugged.

"Oh! Congradulations on your part in the play! ... I don't know who you are but I think it's an important part!"

"Really?" Nadia grinned. "I haven't gone to look yet. Did you get in?"

[ooc: unless I'm getting my time line mixed up, she hasn't looked. She goes after talking to Veronica, which she does fifth period. . . .]

[ooc: oh crap... Announcement is AFTER lunch... I thought it was just before... Um. Never mind?

*waves hands and the conversation rewinds*

"Some people are just no fun." Pippi shrugged.

"So are you excited to find out who you are in the play? I can't wait!"

Nadia nodded. "I'm really nervous. If I didn't get in, I'll probably still help, but being in it would be so much fun. Do you know the play at all?"

"Nope." said Pippi giving it some thought. "I should probably go read it even if I don't get in. How about you?"

Nadia shook her head. "I wasn't much of a reader back in Argentina. If I get in, I'll probably go buy a copy in town. If not I can just get one at the library, since I probably won't want to write in it if I'm just helping out behind the stage."

"Hmm, maybe I'll drop by Appa... Ap... The Bookstore after class." she muses.

"If nothing else, I can warn the guy he'll have a run on books about summer and dreams."

"He'll probably appreciate that." Nadia smiled. "I haven't been there yet, what's it like?"

"I don't know." she says, "I haven't been there since the last owner left."

"Huh. I guess if we're lucky, we'll find out."

Edward grabs a roast beef sandwich and a salad before sitting down. It was extra-nice to have a four-day weekend, yes. He dug into his salad.

Vala came in, grabbing one of each and sat down by herself, eating with a concentration that suggested she might not have regular meals in the past few days.
