Ethics [Tuesday, November 19, 2013]

"I've learned that this weekend was another one of those weekends," Anakin said, glancing around at the robobabies and more than half-expecting them to be colored on with markers or given exciting new haircuts.

He had a young daughter at home, he knew how these things worked.

"Hopefully you learned a few things about single parenthood before you turned small," he concluded. "Please write up a 200 word essay about what you discovered."

Flick had not gotten attached to Mud so he was glad he got to give the little thing back. He wasn't a father and he didn't think he ever would be.

And that was a damn good thing.

Flick's essay wasn't very long. He hadn't learned much except that babies cried a lot, crapped a lot, and were generally a thorn in his side. He also wrote down that he honestly wasn't ready to be a dad and probably never would be.

Karina might've waved bye as she gave Ethan back. He'd been terrible, sure, but he'd been programmed to be terrible.

She tried really hard not to hold that against him.

Besides, he'd slept through her and Sparkle's hanging out and that was about all she'd wanted from him.

Karina's essay was definitely over 200 words and most of it centered around the unfairness of the universe for making children so terrible to deal with.

She did, however, mention that it was a lot more work than she'd thought it had been but, despite that, hadn't been entirely and totally terrible.

Though, the last line noted that she was in no hurry to be a mom. She had things to do first.
