Literature 101- Thursday- 4th period

After last week's narrative cookie obsession, there were totally cookies for the class today. They were from JGOB, no one has to worry about whether or not Jess can bake.

"Good afternoon, class!" she greeted them cheerily. "Last week you got the book for the meta for Lord of the Flies, a book about a group of young boys whose plane is shot down over a deserted island, and how they build a society before it totally falls apart. As usual, you have a book report due next week, but this week we're going to talk about the thing that all English teachers through history since this book was written have harped on: symbolism! And yes, you should probably at least mention that sort of thing somewhere in your report."
