Breaking Things 101, Wednesday, Period 3

The Danger Shop was a fairly ordinary-looking room today. Just a bunch of desks that'd seat two to a desk, sitting across from each other. Clearly there was going to be some cozy facetime involved here.

"Today, we're breaking spirits," Electroclash announced, leaning lazily against the back of one of the chairs. "Spirits as in someone's morale, not spirits as in ghosts and ghouls and that shite, in case anyone was confused." She paused, and reconsidered. "And we're not really going all out with breaking anyone's spirit, either. That takes way too much bloody effort and time and isn't even all that amusing. So, today you're just aiming at making the other person cry."

She seemed pretty cheery about the prospect. Weren't you glad you'd decided to take this class?

"You can either pair up with a classmate, if you're feeling brave," she continued, "or you can take a seat at one of the empty desks by yourself, and the simulation will create a victim for you. And then you just try to make them cry? You all know how to be mean, right? You can ask me for help if you don't."

No seriously, she'd love that. She was very good at being mean and would gladly share her wisdom if anyone needed help.

"Right. Get to it."

Not that Sparkle was feeling spiteful lately or anything, really, honest, but sometimes you just had to put yourself out there to try to make someone else cry. How else to better appreciate your own life than by seeing first-hand just how miserable someone else's could get, right?

And really, fucking with people was one of his favourite hobbies.

Topher was pretty sure he was ready for this, but he knew he dished it out better than he took it, so... this was going to be interesting.
