School Auditorium: Auditions, beginning Noonish.

The lights are up up on the stage, and Dewey sits in the middle of the center aisle of seats, a notebook and pen in hand, and his iPod at the ready in case there are any lulls in auditions.

Yes, that is seriously how low-key Dewey has set up auditions. Get up on stage and do your monologue and sing your song, and you shall be properly auditioned.

"Well, half the school thinks I'm a fairy anyway," he mutters.

"Might as well be their king." Parker grins. "And hey, they probably wouldn't make you take your shirt off until the performance." Also? Yay on that image.

"I have known to take my shirt off for less," he quips. "But anyway, it would be kinda fun to get involved with the theatre, I suppose."

"At the very least? Entertaining for the rest of us." Parker tilted her head. "I wonder if they'll put a llama in this one. Continue the animal guest star theme. For what it's worth, you'd probably make a good Oberon."

"You're too kind, Parker. So what have you been up to? Haven't seen you in far too long."

"Let's see: went to Jack's party and killed monsters on Monday. Finally made up with Zero yesterday. Semi-impromptu party on Thursday. Said bye to Aeryn on Wednesday." She sighed. "And oh yeah, watched a mariachi band serenade Rory's evil twin on Tuesday with Jarod. It's been an interesting week." Parker cocked her head. "And Carter said you got lost in the woods?"

Lee blinks. "Sounds... busy as usual. But...monsters?"

"Errr, yeah, I was lost. And um... kidnapped and a bit mindfrakked and my home planetary system is in danger but I, errr, have hope," he says, only slightly wide-eyed with worry.

"Wow." Parker blinked. "That's... a lot. Did you e-mail them about the, uh, threat to your system? Caprica?"

"And yes, there were draconic gate-crashers at Jack's party. If you ever need girls to back you in a fight against slithery clawed evil, pick out Nadia and Pippi." She grinned. "It was kind of fun."

"Yes, I've contacted my father."

"Dragons? Really?"

"The big one was breathing fire. The two little ones were at least nasty little pieces of work." Parker shrugged. "We dropped one off with Mr. Crowley, hopefully he'd know what to do with it." She cocked her head. "Your father? I know he's military, so I'm assuming he knows who to call?"

"Exactly. My dad will tell the right people about the danger and ... yeah, it'll be okay," he says, not believing a word he's saying. His home planet is frakkin' doomed.

"So! How's Jack?"

Parker's willing to let intergalactic doom (about which she can do nothing, and knows only slightly more) go, in favor of the topic change.

"Jack's 18 and reveling in it." She grinned. "We had fun at the dance last night, flirting with the DJ's and dancing until dawn. I'm sorry you missed it, but I guess you weren't up to it after your camping trip."

"Yeah, I wasn't feeling quite up to revelry and fabulous music. But I'll get my mojo back soon," he says with a wink.

"Jack's eighteen! Well done there. Everything going well in the relationship department?"

"Relationship?" Parker cocks her head, and shrugs, smiling. "Our pact to hang out, have sex and laughs until one of us finds twoo wuv got an extension after New Year's, if that's what you mean. Can't complain." She stretched, feline. "At all."

"I like it," Lee says with a laugh. "Very footloose and fancy free."

"Precisely." She grinned. "And how is your-- whatever-- with Miss Thrace?" Any edge a person might detect to her voice is probably imaginary.

Lee frowns. "Everything's fine," he lies.

Parker cocks her head at him, wondering, but only says, "The last time we talked, she'd gone away somewhere, and the next time I check, she's back without warning. I'm glad you guys are still hangin' in there." She smiles sweetly, then becomes a little more sincere. "Since half my friends aren't as lucky."

"We're fine, everything's fine," he repeats.

Parker gives him a long, slow blink, and her dreamiest smile. "Well. If you're ever not. You know where to find me."

Lee hates being tempted. Really really hates it. He smiles, however. "You're a mean tempress, Parker. Mean mean mean."

She gave him the dimples and a slow shrug, and said, "Just laying it out for you. Up front. Clear." She smiled back. "But I respect boundaries and commitments." Parker got to her feet and yawned. "Time for me to go work out. It's been too long since I worked up a sweat... in the gym." She winked at him as she turned on her heel. "Good luck, Adama."

"You too, sweet Parker," he replies with a wink.
