School Auditorium: Auditions, beginning Noonish.

The lights are up up on the stage, and Dewey sits in the middle of the center aisle of seats, a notebook and pen in hand, and his iPod at the ready in case there are any lulls in auditions.

Yes, that is seriously how low-key Dewey has set up auditions. Get up on stage and do your monologue and sing your song, and you shall be properly auditioned.

MacB looked confused, but he still felt slightly victorious.

He liked the smell of victory. It smelled like popcorn.

Parker shoved the bag at him and said, "Hold this. Don't eat it all. I'll be back for the rest. Stop grinning, would you?"

Then she stalked off to the stage.

Parker's Little Brother stood there with the bag, blinking after her.

And casually proceeded to munch on it as he waited to see Parker audition.

Mmmm. Modern food was tasty.

"Done. Never say I'm not a good friend, Gilmore." Parker grabbed the bag of popcorn back from MacB. "And now you know what a bad idea *that* was, so ha. I'm safe now."

iBook blinked at the popcorn, then up at Parker.

"I think ye did an excellent job, actually. Verreh heartfelt. Ye could fool an entire kingdom after committing murder, with talent like that."

Parker snorted. "I don't think there are any Furies in this play. It's fairies and moonlight and silly lovers. But thanks. What part do you want, anyway?" She grinned. "With that audition, you'd have fun as Puck or one of the mechanicals."

MacB considered for a moment, looking to Fluffy now and again as though the little snowmonster doll could help him form an opinion. Finally, he just shrugged.
"Really, I'm not sure. I'm not terribly impressed with the playwright, I'm just in it for something to do. It's gotten quiet in my room, I need to get out more."

Parker threw back another kernel of popcorn. "Well, this'll do it. Uh, can I ask what's with the doll?" She looked dubious.

"Who, Fluffy?"
MacB motioned over to Rory.
"It was a gift from my secret sibling, Rory here. With my Room-Mate gone now, he's been pretty good company."

Parker shot Rory a look, then shook her head. "She's a better Big Sister than I am. I'm sorry your room-mate left. Are you still doing okay otherwise? Anything you need help with?"

MacB considered for a moment.
"I'm still having roubles getting used to things that most people here take for granted. The other weekened, Angela showed me how to turn the ceiling moons off and on by flipping the short twigs on the walls. I was thrilled." He paused. "But you aren't a bad big sister, Parker lass. I'm thankful for the help that I've gotten from you since I came here."

Parker blinked at him. "Twigs? Wait... Oh, man." She rubbed her face. "Tell me you haven't been sitting in the dark using candles up until now. And do you know how the shower works?"

Well, she'd asked. Sigh. "Indoor rainstorm? For washing in? Little thing above the tub, that sprays you with water? Maybe? I hope?"

Macbeth nodded, pleased that he understood what Parker was talking about.

"Aye, I know of that! I accidentally turned on that water one day. I decided not to touch it again after it rained down scalding hot water on me head."

"You can adjust the temperature down using the other knob labeled 'C'. For 'cold.' So you can bathe in it without having to take as much time. Which is a good idea around here." Parker sighed. "Tell me you have soap. Please?"

Parker just put her face in her hands and shook her head. "Mannnn....." A long, drawn-out sigh. "Okay. Later? I'm stopping by your room, and I'll show you what I'm talking about. And you're NOT going to argue with me about it. I'll give you more Twinkies after the trauma. Okay?"

MacB was a fairly easygoing guy when there was free food involved. Especially since he hadn't eaten since his pizza supply had run out.
