Detention: 2/18

The Danger Room Shop is set up to look like a scriptorium from a medieval abbey. Several long tables are set up with different projects. Methos is kicked back in a very anachronistic armchair, reading. Written on the whitewashed wall above him is:
Logan Echolls ([livejournal.com profile] psycho_jackass) - excessive absences
Togusa ([livejournal.com profile] section9_togusa) - excessive absences
Boone Carlisle ([livejournal.com profile] cerulean__eyes) - lucky lottery winner

On each table you will find instructions for your projects for the day. Lunch will be served. Since I don't think you want to be here any longer than you have to, if you're lucky, we'll all leave on time. If not... well, that's your choice.

[[OOC: This is going up very early so I can sleep late. Interaction beginning probably about 10 AM Pacific time.]]

Logan grudgingly carved out a quill and mixed his ink, then wrote out his essay.

Once upon a time, there was wheat. Then one day, some poor hungry sucker ate a handful of spoiled, wet wheat and thought it was pretty damn good. Thus, beer was born.

Beer was high in nutrition and often consumed as a liquid form of bread. Beer kept people happy during their miserable daily existence and helped them sleep through the night on their cold, lumpy beds.

Before hops were added for preservation, beer was likely stronger in alcohol content and less bitter. In some places, drinking beer was actually healthier than drinking water, since the brewing would kill the bacteria and parasites living in the water.

Near him, the Quick Quotes Quill scratched out a few notes of its own.
