Valentine's Day Dance. The Gym. 8.30 pm

The gym was decorated, the DJs were playing, and the punch was not yet spiked.

Fandom High's Valentine's Day Dance had begun.

Marty hops and jumps around in time to the music. He looks cool. Really he does.

Angela grabs him by the hand and attempts a complicated spinny thing.

It's not quite a success, but at least she keeps her balance. Mostly.

"I never got disco," she said. "It's all ... fast and happy. But this, now, is fun."

Marty laughs and tries to do some kind of fancy disco move.

Now he just looks foolish.

"Disco does have its good points," Marty said loudly over the music, "But I'll never admit it to anyone else!"

Angela mimed shock, then mimes zipping her lips.

Then grinning, she did the John Travolta thing with her fingers.

She looked completely ridiculous.

Nadia grins when she sees Marty and Angela dancing, then closes her eyes as she keeps spinning and jumping to the music.

Nadia has never, ever seen "the Hustle" before. She thinks Marty's making it up.

But, hey, she's trying to be friendslike with him, so she gives it a shot.

What a dumb dance.

"This dance needs more spinning!"

Marty decided to go out and attempt "The Hustle".

If the pirate were ever to use cameras, Marty would be a prime target for black mail.

"C'mon! Do the hustle with me!" Marty shouted over the music.

"Ask Nadia!" she shouted. "She's really getting into this."

He grabs her hand and tries to pull her next to him so they can start dancing the hustle.

Laughing, Angela follows him and attempts to match the steps. She looks pretty goofy.

Marty does a spin and practically falls on Angela. He grabs Angela's shoulder to steady both himself and his girlfriend.

"Sorry! Maybe the hustle is a little out of my league."

Unfortuntaely, Marty is a little heavier than Angela.

Oops.

Down she goes, but she picks herself up, still laughing. "It's okay!" she says. "Should we go get punch or something?"
