Fandom High's Valentine's Day Dance had begun.

Mac grinned, "I should be around then, I'm generally your 'stay out of detention' kinda girl. Monsters however, a little less predictable."

"I've heard a rumour that a lot of the Disney films had that going for them, jokes that go right over the heads of the children watching. I've never been able to find any of them though. That probably says a little something about me," she added.

"You and me both," Isabel grinned. "At least as long I can avoid the stupid detention lottery. And the movies are hilarious. There's this one bit where Mr. Potatohead pretends he's Picasso..." She stopped, "I sound like a dork don't I?"

Mac laughed, "only to someone who isn't a dork in the first place. ie. not me."

"It sucks about this randomised detention thing, I can't quite see how it's fair. I'm really hoping my good luck at avoiding it lasts out."

Isabel crossed her fingers and held them up. "Same here. So what do you say? Next Saturday afternoon? Fourth Floor Common Room?"

"Sounds good to me. I'll see if I can get my hands on popcorn in the meantime. Movies need snacks to go with, it's an unwritten rule." She nodded seriously. "It's not the same otherwise."

"I'll get some as well and maybe some chocolate. In fact I'll get some extra because I'm sure we'll attract a crowd. It'll be fun," Isabel said.

"I have a whole stockpile of vegan alternatives stashed in my room I can bust out. I decided that you never can trust the contents of the chef's food." She shrugged, "the comment on there being 'people' in the food kinda stuck with me."

"Yeah it is a bit scary if you think about it. But I've been okay so far." She frowned, "My big downfall is doughnuts. My roommate and I seem to take turns bringing a fresh supply to the room. I've been trying to hit the gym more often because of that."

"Izzie and I have taken to baking our own cookies, which probably means I should be doing the same kinda increased gym-going, I just can't quite bring myself to do it though." She shrugged, "I'd rather do just about anything else."

"I've been going and spending time on the elliptical trainer. And I'd been learning some fighting and defense stuff as well." She smiled a bit sadly. "You should come by. There's usually people around so you won't be lonely."
