Fraser's never been to a high school dance before. Not as a child and certainly not as a chaperone. Perhaps he's overdressed, perhaps he's under dressed, perhaps he shouldn't have worn the hat, perhaps his boots aren't shiny enough...

"Nice hat," Josh said, walking over. "You must be Constable Fraser." He stuck his hand out. "I'm Josh Lyman."

"Thank you," Fraser replies, shaking Josh's hand. "I am Constable Fraser and it's very nice to meet you Mr. Lyman. You're the faculty organizer of this event, right?"

"That would be me," Josh said. "But to be completely honest, this was all the kids." He pointed at the DJs. "I have nothing to do with, for example, whoever those people are. Or the jumpsuits the guy's wearing."

Josh gave the DJ another look. "Which is scarier than the snow monsters, I think."

Fraser looks over at the jumpsuit in question and might boggle briefly. "Yes, that's quite an interesting choice for attire. I would think one would stay away from white due to the ability to stain so easily."

"I think that it could stain is possibly the least of that outfit's problem," Josh replied. "I mean, it's got sequins."

Fraser squints and does indeed see the sequins. "Perhaps they have some reflective ability so as he is seen in the dark? To prevent collisions?"

Josh laughed. "Like reflective tape? Maybe."

"Possibly," Fraser nods. "So, either he's being extremely safe or his sense of fashion is suitably flawed. One hopes that some dancing student doesn't accidentally spill punch on him."

"I'm pretty sure that if someone spills anything on him we'll hear the shriek all the way over here," Josh said with a smirk.

"I...almost want to see that happen," Fraser admits. "For someone wearing an outfit such as that, they must know the correct procedures to effectively remove a stain. If not, that outfit will be none the worse."

Josh looked back at the vision in white. "You'd have to," he said. "I mean...look at it." He gave Fraser a wicked grin. "Would it be terribly wrong to plant this idea into the head of an impressionable teenager?"

Re: Chaperones - Constable Fraser

[identity profile] just-add-starch.livejournal.com 2006-02-18 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
"I think it would be most amusing," Fraser says after a pause. "And, if anything, the spilling of the punch could be blamed on the darkness and the reflective nature of the sequins blinding the teenager. Thus, the teenager trips, falls over, and the punch splashes onto the white spandex."

Josh smiled, eyes twinkling. He tilted his head over towards the snark corner. "I think I spot some volunteers," he said. "Hee. This'll be fun."

"I think you're right," Fraser agrees. "I look forward to seeing the white jumpsuit marred."

Josh winked.
"Here I go, then (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/653795.html?thread=31017187#t31017187)," he said, walking over to the snark corner.
