"Greetings, students!" Thor exclaimed as he burst in through the door, cape fluttering along behind him. And yes, the helmet was perched upon his head as well. He didn't usually dress so formally here in Fandom, but first days of class were one of the exceptions. Even if those "first days" came shortly after the mid-semester break.

"As you may have surmised, your usual teacher has been indisposed for some time. I am Thor of Asgard, and I have taken stewardship of Mr. Minsc's class in his absence. I understand that this class is dedicated to the subject of Magical Creatures, of which my home realm of Asgard has many. Today, though, I thought we might do something a little different. I'm given to understand there is a holiday coming up that deals with what you term 'the supernatural'? I'm afraid my research on the Google has not been terribly forthcoming." That was because Thor's Google skills were still kind of hit and miss, even after all this time. "So. I would like each of you to share with me your favorite creature associated with this holiday."

Not that there's much of one.

Taking classes taught by Thor was never going to get old. Also, while Karolina had pretty ambivalent feelings towards the Avengers, at least Thor wasn't Doctor Doom.

So maybe she was going to be okay with this change. If a little weirded out.

Oh man. Oh man oh man oh man. Now Evan was taking two classes taught by Avengers this semester? How in the world was he going to cope?

By hanging on Thor's every word during the lecture, of course. Every. Single. Last. Word.

Do you have a favourite Halloween-associated creature?

"I like bats?" Karolina offered. With some hesitation. Because: "But they're... not really magical, are they?"

Oh, like that was a line Mavis could possibly not reply to?

"Depends on the bat!" *poof*

Karolina's eyebrows dutifully shot way up with surprise.

"Oh." Oh wow. "Okay." She pointed at Mavis. "Okay, that kind of bat is magical and totally counts."

Mavis grinned and flapped in place for a moment before poofing back to her usual appearance. "I guess it'd be cheating if I said bats too, so... I don't think I have a favorite. All the creatures I know are supernatural."

"I always thought werewolves are kind of neat," Evan offered. "It's that whole... something normal, thing. But there's something else that maybe people weren't expecting. And the shapeshifting aspect is pretty cool, too."

Not that the little Poccy had a shapeshifter bias. Honest.

I'm so glad this weekend is over, guys, you have no idea.
