DUCKLINGS Meeting - 4PM in the Library

Rory sat on one of the tables, a spread of various baked goods from J, GOB on a table near her.

"Hey, guys," she said to the group when there were enough people assembled, "I figured today we'll do some easy stuff. Introductions, ideas, brainstorming. Et cetera. Our main purpose is to figure out community service ideas for other people. Like, I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to be applying to college pretty soon, and that sort of thing looks good. And plus, helping people is good, right? So let's all get acquainted and talk about our ideas."

"Yeah, cheerleaders are nice, but without sports teams, it's just girls in tiny skirts," Rory agreed, shooting the boys a look.

"Cheerleaders are girls in tiny skirts?" Anakin's eyes lit up. "We totally need some of those."

"Agreed. They're necessary, sports teams or no sports teams," Peter said.

"No, we don't," Rory said. Probably a bit too quickly. "Not without sports teams. Look at tiny skirts on your own time."

"My time and school time can be combined," Peter said, shrugging.

Rory glared. "Fine, then we need at least a boys' sports team for the girls to ogle. I vote water polo or swim."

Anakin reached for a pastry and offered no comment on the idea of swim teams.

"In Speedos," Rory clarified. "For streamlininess."

"Yeah, whatever. As long as we have cheerleaders," Peter said. It wasn't a tough negotiation for him.

"Maybe we should have male cheerleaders," Rory theorized.

"Of course. They can perform much better lifts." Nadia shrugged. "Not usually flips, though."

"We could have gremlin cheerleaders for all I care as long as a majority of the people on the squad are female and wearing small skirts." Peter thought about that for a moment. "Humanoid female. Not gremlin female." It needed clarification.

Anakin was concentrating very hard on eating his pastry. It was a difficult thing to do, after all.

And apparently involved a lot of glaring.

"A swim team would be nice. . . ." Nadia tilted her head, thinking. "But I still think we need soccer on campus. Have you seen a soccer player's legs? Madre del dios, they're lovely,"

"Soccer, yes," Rory agreed. "Ooh! Or rugby. We had rugby at my old school. It was lovely. Though messy at times."

"Basketball good. Oh, it's almost baseball season, isn't it?' Rory said. "They wear tight pants. It's glorious."

Anakin wondered if he should point out his pants could be considered tight.

He decided against it and went back to killing his pastry.
