Class met in the pool in the dorms today, and had been warned to come in swimsuits. Jack was slightly tanned from the week in Italy, and she wasn't quite ready to give up swimming again just yet. (Contrary to what some people might expect, she was wearing a relatively modest tankini with boy shorts as she stood in the pool's shallow end. Look, sometimes she could be kinda appropriate-ish.)

She greeted everyone with a quick wave. "Welcome back," she said. "Hope you enjoyed Italy. If you didn't go to Italy ... I feel sorry for you. Today, we're going to talk about synchronized swimming. It's goofy as hell, but you know what those girls do? They all move together. As a team. And sometimes, that kind of synching up is going to help with little things like keeping you alive."

"There are five relatively easy" -- well, for her -- "basic moves in synchronized swimming: Tub, back tuck, water wheel, oyster, and the boost. We're going to practice them as a group, and then you guys get to put them together into a routine."

She splashed further into the water, then paused with a thought. "If you can't swim, stand in the shallow end and do the best you can. Also, learn to swim."

And with that she was off, demonstrating a tub float.

Listen to Jack talk, then try to get the basic moves down.

Theo was listening to the lecture and making faces. He barely knew what synchronized swimming was and now he was going to have to create a routine.

Yeah, he was going to be over here, grimacing and wondering how he could get out of things.

What the kark was this class. Cade was sulking and hoping someone was wearing a skimpier suit than Jack's.

Shh. A guy's gotta find a bright side somehow.

Mercy's was and she was a little embarrassed about it. Not that she didn't have a good body, just... it was embarrassing.

Cade gave her a little smirk. "Have you done a lot of synchronized swimming?"

Mercy rolled her eyes. "Werewolves can't swim - not even in human form - so it's not like we did a lot of swimming. I can swim just about enough not to drown."

"So this is going to be a really good routine then," Cade said dryly.

"Oh yeah, Olympic quality," Mercy replied. "At least on the part of the poor people trying to save our sorry asses."

"That would theoretically be me," Cade said, "but I'm not sure I care that much."

She gave him a teasing look. "Seriously? You'd let this ass drown?"

Cade doublechecked it. "Hmmm."

"There is a correct answer," Mercy said with a grin.

Cade grinned. "Is there now?"

She put her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow at him. "Yep. There is."

"Fine," Cade said, pretending to be Quite Put Upon, "I suppose I'll save you."

Mercy couldn't help but laugh. "Oh good! I'm sure you'll find a way to turn it to your advantage."

Try to work in small groups to come up with your very own routine!

Who will try to keep you from drowning. Probably.

Jack had absolutely not planned this class because the thought of it made her laugh.

Okay, so maybe she had. But she was keeping her giggles behind her hand, so that counted for something, right?

Cade would only help you after you bobbed a bit. He was a jerk that way.
