Student Council [Lunchtime]

"So, dance tonight," Josh said. "I'll be over, you know, by the punch bowl with the other chaperones mocking you all." He grinned. "In a totally supportive way that will inflict no kind of lasting damage on your delicate psyches."

He looked down at the piece of paper in front of him. "Joining my in chaperoning duties tonight will be Professor Skeeter, Professor Tick, Professor Camulus, Professor MacGyver, Doctor Pevensie, and Constable Fraser."

He smiled at Isabel. "I've heard good things about the Game Night, so congratulations on that."

He kicked his feet up onto his desk and waved his hand. "Discuss last minute logistics, and, you know, things."

Blair shook his head. "I hurt Molly really badly just now. Plus Nadia earlier this week. I'm a jerk."

Pippi held the back of her hand to Blair's forehead.

"Who are you and what have you done with Blair?"

"I wish it was that easy. I'm really me. I just messed up on this whole dating thing and now I've hurt two people that I really like."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Blair nodded. "Actually, ~~I need a hug~~ I don't even know what to talk about. Nadia wants me to figure out what I want and only wants to date someone who's only dating her. Then I met with Molly to tell her that I was dating other girls at the same time and she didn't even know we were dating!" Blair sighed. "I totally wrecked her first date for her, Pippi. Totally."

Pippi, having hug-dar, put her arm around Blair.

"Wull, did she not have fun when you went out?"

Blair hugged her back gratefully. "She had fun, I think. But she's never been on a date before and I think she was really upset to find out that she had one and didn't know it and that I was dating another person at the same time. I can totally understand that. I was bummed that my first real kiss was from someone who was basically dumping me at the same time."

"I don't know that it qualifies as a date if she didn't know it was one." There must be a book of rules somewhere, you should ask at the liberary or the bookstore. I hear the bookstore in town is opening back up."

She gave his shoulder a squeeze and let him go.

"So... What were you expecting to result from the dates? Were you trying to start a har-reem like the Shieks of Arraby?" she asks. ((There is no malice or snarkyness in her voice when she asks this. It is a perfectly innocent question. She may as well be asking you why you prefer one brand of soda over another.))

"I tried researching online. Did you know about girls with gloves site?" Blair shuddered. "I could try the bookstore in town though."

"I just wanted to try dating. I hadn't done it before and...I figured I would experience dates and then maybe...have a girlfriend. Although now I'm wondering if I should just stay away from girls altogether."

"Girls with gloves? No I can't say I have... What do gloves have to do with dating?"

She listened to him. "Blair, I've always thought it best to accomplish what I've thought of. Your idea was to try dating and you've tried it. So either try it some more or move on to the 'getting a girlfriend' part. It's true, your plans for the dating part didn't go as well as planned but that's no reason to give up now! I mean, if I can go to school and take classes, and get good grades you can certainly figure out this dating thing. You're not a jerk, you've nice, and what's more you're handsome, why shouldn't some lucky gal want to date you?"

She punched him, lightly, in the arm.

"Talk some more to the people you think you've hurt and make sure they understand how you feel. Then get back out there! You sly dog you."

Blair stared at her for minute, rubbing his arm and processing. "You're right. I need to let it go and move on. There's no point in wallowing in the past and if I'm going to fix my karma, I need to make things right with Nadia and Molly."

He leaned over to hug her. "Thanks Pippi, you're wonderful!" He bounced a little and grinned. "And thanks for calling me handsome!"

"Anytime." she said ~~And if you muck it up any worse with my room-mate and my friend from here on out, I'm going to have to pound you. But I promise Hank will be well provided fore.~~

~~Hank doesn't care how well you can provide for him, you pirate! He will never forgive you! One day he'll grow up as some sort of poisonous species and kill you with your morning tea! Mwwaahh ha ha ha!~~

~~I don't drink tea in the morning, I drink coffee! I only ever have tea in the after-noon with Alfred! So there.~~
