Student Council [Friday, Lunchtime]

When the students arrived for the meeting today, they'd find a stack of warm pizzas and some bottles of soda waiting for them, along with Zoe.

"I know you're all probably wanting to get ready for the school trip, or for whatever you're going to be doing while we're on break, so we can keep this fairly brief," she said. "First, I wanted to congratulate you all on a successful Parents Weekend. I think most people had a good time with their families, and no one has sent me angry emails about pulling people out of the school, so I'd call that a solid success." Her standards might have been different from normal principals. "The only thing we need to do today is start talking about Homecoming. The dance and the carnival will be two weeks from now, so we need to come up with a theme for the event. Most likely something involving glitter, since that seems to be an ongoing thing." She wasn't judging anymore. Much. "Anyone have any ideas?"

Jessica honestly wasn't even thinking about Homecoming before the meeting. She was way more focused on stuff from her world and the trip and all of that stuff.

But then, focusing on the present, she focused on the pizza.

Pizza was an important staple; Cecil still couldn't quite get over the fact it wasn't required once a week here. So he was glad to grab a bit.

Jessica didn't have any specific ideas, but she felt strongly that the glitter tradition was important and needed to continue.

"What's homecoming?" Alana asked, around a bite of pizza. "Like, who's coming home?"

"Graduates," Evan offred. "I think that's when the graduates from Fandom High years past all come visit the island for a weekend. There's a dance and a carnival and then they pick royalty..."

He blushed a little. Last year, he'd been the freshman king. Er. Along with Bucky.

"Royalty?" Alana echoed. "Huh. I could be a queen for a couple days. I'd be really good at it."

She wouldn't eve execute anybody.

"I was one of the freshmen kings last year. Mostly it just means you get a crown and you have to share a dance with whoever else in your grade gets named royalty, too."

Which wasn't so bad, really. Everyone in Evan's grade was pretty nice, at least.
