"Well, I've got good news, some more good news, some bad news, and then reasonably good news to follow that," Jessica announced. She was in her uniform today, both to show leadership and because that kind of thing just felt right during weeks like this. "The good news is that everyone made the team. Congratulations, you all did great. The other good news is that we have uniforms for everyone. The bad news is we still don't really have traditional sports to cheer, but the final good news is that we dohave things that are close!"

"I already talked to Cade about his general 'sports' club, which is apparently mostly about eating snacks. We can cheer that, assuming we bring some snacks. And then there's the roller derby club, and I haven't talked to the club head yet, but that seems like something that could use some encouragement. Rah rah, destroy that other person, that kind of thing," Jessica suggested. "And then there has been some talk of traveling, which will presumably get us ready for regionals."

"But we're open for suggestions on other things to cheer. If you have an idea, speak up, we're happy to entertain just about anything," Jessica said. And she did mean anything. Cheer-related. "But also, we should start practicing this week so we're in some condition to actually do any of that. So let's start."

Raven was maaaaaaaaybe showing off her flexibility a little bit over much, today. Yes, she could totally put her leg behind her head. She could even fold herself in half backwards if she really wanted to (though that took a little bit of shapeshifting to achieve perfectly).

The one she was doing now might be titled "get boobs and ass in same shot". For some reason, it was one of her favorites, this week.

Cecil bounced over to her and grinned. "I got something for you in class today!" He blinked at her flexibility. Even he could appreciate that a bit. "Wow, you're bendy."

"All part of my . . . particular talents," Raven said, and, yeah, that might have a touch of extra innuendo in it, today. "You got me something? In class?"

"Still jealous," he announced cheerfully. "And yep! See, our class went to some really nifty sporting thing, and they had all this magical candy, and...anyway, there's this one, you eat it and it makes you breathe fire!"

He dug the candies out of his pocket. "I thought it could go pretty cool with your 'particular talents'. Especially if you wanted to show your brother."

Raven's eyes lit right up. "Really? That would really startle him! And then he'll spend all weekend trying to figure out how it works!" Which would potentially prevent him from spending all weekend embarrassing her by hitting on her friends.

"I'm not sure how long it lasts, so I sort of got you a bunch," Cecil confessed. "But you have to let me get at least one picture with the fire!"

"I think that's fair, considering you're the one who got them in the first place," Raven said, moving to go get her purse from where she set it before getting started warming up. "Have you tried it? How does it feel when you do it?"

"Sort of warm?" Cecil thought about it for a moment. "Like those really strong throat drops, but hot instead of cold."

"Like Red Hots," Raven said, holding up her purse so he could drop them in. "Neat!"

Cecil slipped them carefully into her purse. And grabbed Foucault before he could climb in it, too. "No, she doesn't need a bird, silly."

"Though I appreciate the compliment, Foucault," Raven said. "Maybe you should get yourself a purse. It could be like a portable nest for him."

Cecil thought about it. "But what if he grows really fast? Maybe I can find something expandable." He perked up. "Has anybody showed you online shopping yet?"

"I've seen it," Raven said. It was where she found most of her inspiration for her mimicked dresses, these days. "I haven't tried it yet, though."

"You're missing out on one of the great parts about the future - buying things from far away and having them delivered. So many more choices!"

She couldn't mimic a purse if she ever wanted to put it down, could she?

No. No she couldn't.

"We used to do that with catalogs," she said. "It's not that new."

"Well, fine, spoil my fun." He grinned at her, totally unoffended.

"It's what I live for," Raven answered, grinning back.
