Journalistic Integrity (Friday, February 17 - 3rd period)
Rita smiled a little wickedly.
"All right. Fun and simple activity today. I would like you each to stand up and tell me one thing about yourself that makes you interesting. What's something that makes you unique, and interestingand possibly famous?"
"Then I'll do quick and simple demonstration of how a writing aid can assist you with wording and thus help you evade being sued. So. Who would like to go first?"
[ooc: Yes, I know we did this. We're doing it again. And there will be a fun and interesting result if you just do what she asks. Feel free to call her on it, though.]
[ooc: How this will work is simple: if you want your character to have the quill with them, go for it. If you'd rather they leave it in their room or something, it won't follow them around. Basically, you can mod the quills as you'd like, with the understanding of the following things:
A) Rita *will* expect them to talk about what they did with them next week. And of course she won't know if you're lying.
B) The quilld write in highly exaggerated, screamingly purple prose, and they make up assumptions based on info provided. You don't have to write out what it writes, if you don't choose to, but it can be fun.
C) They are very magic, and will write on their own, on whatever. Putting them away mid-writing should be a bit of a struggle, but easily managed.
Any other questions, always feel free to email me. And please, have fun with this.]

Rita smiled. "And we're not lying this time. I don't want to hear anything about anyone being a good surfer. And Alex, you have something written on your head."
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
She eyed his forehead. "You know, I could get that off for you pretty easily. But where would the fun be in that?"
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
"And that's quite all right, ma'am, I think I'll keep it for the moment."
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
Her quill bounced up on her desk, and began to write.
Alex Krycek, poor, shy student, busies himself with firearms so as not to confront his acute agoraphobia, it wrote.
Rita grinned and retrieved something from the drawer of her desk. She murmured an incantation at it before taking the object as well as the paper over to Krycek.
"This is a Quick-Quotes Quill," she said, handing him a bright pink feather. "It's like the green one I use. I've enchanted it to automatically begin to take notes on any conversation you're especially interested in, whether it be your own or not."
She set the paper on his desk. "This is the sort of writing it produces, so you know what to expect. And if you don't have paper with you, it will take notes on whatever surface is available. I want you to carry the quill around with you this week, and then be prepared to tell your impressions of the assignment on Wednesday. Questions?"

Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
The acid green quill that students may be accustomed to seeing at this point sprang up on her desk, and began to scrawl.
Barbossa, a clever and fascinatingly moralled student, hails from the high seas. His voice brings news to fair Fandom on a weekly basis, though, bringing an interesting level of anachronism into the picture, it wrote.
Rita snatched the paper out of the air, and pulled something from the drawer of her desk. She murmured an incantation at it before grinning and walking over to Barbossa.
"This is a Quick-Quotes Quill," she said, handing him a bright blue feather. "It's like the green one I use. I've enchanted it to automatically begin to take notes on any conversation you're especially interested in, whether it be your own or not."

The quill on her desk sprang to life, however.
Callistie, a poor orphaned waif, takes on a great deal of responsibility to keep her thoughts from drifting to the lost lives of those she's loved. She's found that this is the best way to avoid a deep, unending soulpain, it wrote.
Rita pulled the paper out of the air, and pulled something from the drawer of her desk. She mumbled an incantation at it before grinning and walking over to Callisto.
"This is a Quick-Quotes Quill," she said, handing him a bright purple feather. "It's like the green one I use. I've enchanted it to automatically begin to take notes on any conversation you're especially interested in, whether it be your own or not."

"Uh huh, and how did it feel to spend Valentine's day without him?"
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
Even the recent Valentine's Day holiday failed to provide Rita any relief or distraction from the unending torment that is life without Wilbur.
"And how do you think Wilbur coped, with just the children for company?"
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
"Good, good, so Professor, I feel I must ask, why did you and Wilbur seperate?"
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
Is it just loneliness, or maybe guilt as well?

Alanna Trebond, an insecure and strange young woman, has been going through an identity crisis, the green quill on her desk wrote.
Rita pulled the paper out of the air, and pulled something from the drawer of her desk. She mumbled an incantation at it before grinning and walking over to Alanna
"This is a Quick-Quotes Quill," she said, handing her a bright orange feather. "It's like the green one I use. I've enchanted it to automatically begin to take notes on any conversation you're especially interested in, whether it be your own or not."

Chloe Sullivan seems to be easily entertained by everyday things like shooting stars. One should prbably applaud her ability to ficus on higher tasks, as it seems as though that would be difficult. it wrote.
Rita pulled the paper out of the air, and pulled something from the drawer of her desk. She mumbled an incantation at it before grinning and walking over to Chloe.

Veronica Mars lies pathologically to cover up for her insecurities. Poor, sweet girl, for it wrote.
Rita pulled the paper out of the air, and pulled something from the drawer of her desk. She mumbled an incantation at it before grinning and walking over to Veronica.
"This is a Quick-Quotes Quill," she said, handing her a bright yellow feather. "It's like the green one I use. I've enchanted it to automatically begin to take notes on any conversation you're especially interested in, whether it be your own or not."

Re: Discussion/Presentation/Etc.
She was definitely leaving the damn quill at home tonight.

The quill on her desk jerked up.
Kara Thrace, marginally deranged student, babbles incoherently without any expectation of comprehension.
Rita pulled the paper out of the air, and pulled something from the drawer of her desk. She mumbled an incantation at it before grinning and walking over to Kara.
"This is a Quick-Quotes Quill," she said, handing her a bright turquoise feather. "It's like the green one I use. I've enchanted it to automatically begin to take notes on any conversation you're especially interested in, whether it be your own or not."

[Reposted because, um, you're not Veronica, and I need to C&P more carefully. :)]

Her quill jerked to life on her desk, and began to write.
Logan Echolls, tears shining in his eyes, stoically denies his own celebrity in favor of a desire for a "normal life," which he's tragically been denied.
Rita grinned and retrieved something from the drawer of her desk. She murmured an incantation at it before taking the object as well as the paper over to Logan.
"This is a Quick-Quotes Quill," she said, handing him a bright magenta feather. "It's like the green one I use. I've enchanted it to automatically begin to take notes on any conversation you're especially interested in, whether it be your own or not."
