Ethics [Tuesday, October 1, 2013]

"Good morning," Anakin said, leaning way back on his desk today. He'd noticed the shift in the island's atmosphere as soon as he'd arrived and since this wasn't his first week of this, well, the further away he was from students who might find him suddenly broodily attractive the better for everyone.

"Today we talk about the ethics involved in having sex."

Anakin, no one wants you to give this lecture.

"Now I could make you watch a movie on the miracle of birth without the use of pain-numbing drugs or show you slides about the various infections you can contract through ill-advised sexual contact," Anakin said. "As a teacher, there is a long and storied tradition of scare tactics to attempt to stop young people from having sex."

Of course, a teacher talking about having sex also has that affect. "You will hear that your brain should be stronger than your hormones. I will tell you from personal experience that's not always true. It's how I ended up married at 20 and a father to twins at 23. Do not be me."

Because then there was limb severing and wife death and galaxy ruining, all because someone couldn't control himself. ANAKIN.

"So here, watch this instructional video on sexually transmitted diseases in my galaxy--" because more tentacles means more trauma, "--and think of this as my attempt to get you to slow down and think this week. I will take your questions afterwards."

Oh, you poor things.
