There was a very large television at the front of the class room. In fact, it was a special monitor, but for today's purposes you could call it a TV. Also at the front of the room was a Doombot! It may have looked, dressed, sounded, and acted like Doom himself, but it was an artificial intelligence. Not that it was going to admit that.

"Today, you will be watching a movie as I have more important matters to which I must attend on the astral plane. Disrupt me and you will receive detention," the Doombot said. If any magicians or psychics tried to pry and couldn't find Doom on the astral plane, it would simply claim that Doom could easily shield himself from your attempts to spy. It was programmed well. "The movie is a lecture by Doctor Michio Kaku, explaining string theory in a simplified, bastardized form. Reality is more complicated than Doctor Kaku believes, but it shall do for this week."

The Doombot then began the 42 minute crash course and walked over to a throne in the corner of the room to 'access the astral plane.'

Last week Reed Richards, this week Michio Kaku. Would next week be Hank Pym or Neil deGrasse Tyson? Quantum Theory suggests that right now, it's both AND neither, at least until it happens.

Watch as Doctor Kaku actually explains things for the students instead of just forcing them to keep up. Or, as Doom thinks of it, coddling the infant minds instead of forcing them to grow.

Seriously, don't make the Doombot react to you because you will get detention. This is your warning.

Jim had woken up feeling antsy and restless. It wasn't an unfamiliar feeling but it seemed to be magnified today. And with it being a movie day, there was no outlet for distraction today.

It was going to be a long class.

Karolina was having even more trouble focusing on science than she usually did. Because of that, you'd think a movie day would have been perfect but somehow that just made it worse.

She wasn't going to remember anything she was supposed to have learned during this lesson.

Cecil tried to pay attention. He really did! He even tried to get out a string and try to make some of it make sense.

He ended up even antsier, and with a big tangled knot on the desk in front of him. At least Foucault seemed to like playing with the knot. Just so long as Dr. Doom didn't notice Cecil's sweater was a little more bulky than usual.

Who may well recognize a Doombot when he sees one. It is trickery, after all.

DO NOT SPEAK TO THE DOOMBOT! OR ELSE DETENTION!

Per my availability post, I'll be not around and or slow, so movie class, even if this class is normally just setting you guys loose anyway. :D

That is awesome, though. I will definitely have to watch that thing later!

I'll be honest, I watched a minute of it. But I know Michio Kaku's good and knows his stuff. Also, I really enjoy typing "Michio Kaku."
