"Just the usual school things. I am enjoying Miss Clay's dingbot that she made for Victor so much, I am trying to think of other dingbots I could have her make. Just think of the mischief opportunities." Walter grinned and took a not-at-all sloppy bite of his sloppy joe.

"A little wind up mechanical thing. Like a robot, but smaller and more like a pet or a toy. I guess they do not always act that way."

He stopped for a couple more bites of his sloppy joe before continuing. "The one I had her make for Victor is a sort of alarm clock. Except it does not ring, it walks over and taps him on the forehead. We found out that it likes to chase pieces of paper and hit them with its hammer."

"That's marvelous!" Said Pippi laughing. "I must think of an excuse to get one myself. What other things can they do?"

"When I spoke with Miss Clay, it seemed as though she could make them to do almost anything. We should go down to her shop together sometime. I want to see about having a couple of prankbots made, as soon as I can decide on good pranks."

Pippi thinks about this for a moment and then turn to a fresh page in her notebook. She leans in, all clandestine

"Okay... How about one that clings to the ceiling shoots glitter? Or is glitter just so last season?"

Walter leans in, recognizing Pippi's clandestineness. "I do not think glitter is last season yet. Golf carts are last season."

He glanced around, not wanting to be overheard on the next one. Do not be too offended, but I was thinking of one that went through the girl's bathroom and put all the seats up over and over again. I would warn you if I did that, of course. And we would need a companion bot to get the boys, too, I am just not sure what it would do."

"... You know it's not hard to just put the seat back down..." said Pippi.

"And I think a ding-thingy that sprays golf-carts would be to big to be much of a surprise... Besides, somebody could get hurt."

She gave the matter some thought.

"Tommy never liked it when Annika would try to spray him with perfume... Perhaps a ding-thingy that makes a room smell pretty?"

"I know it is not that hard to put the seat back down, but from managing a household, it has been my experience that women do not seem to think about that in the middle of the night."

He thought about it some more and nodded at her next suggestion. "That might work. Perhaps even perfume and glitter."

He moved on to his cake and cogitated, because cogitating is so much more in-depth than just thinking. "Keeping to theme, perhaps a bot that hums annoying songs for long enough for them to get stuck in your head and then runs off to hum at someone else."

Which of course stimulates gleeful Walter grinning.

"She was able to teach Victor's dingbot to recognize him. I bet we can get her to teach the singing bots to recognize us - that way they could run away from anyone else, and also not play 'it's a small world' at us. It took me the better part of a week to get that song out of my head."
