Jenny had several books open on her desk, and was typing out notes for next week's lectures into her laptop. She had a wooden box on the credenza to the side. That was filled with supplies of a slightly more occult nature for Xander's visit later today.

"Wait and see what happens?" Bridge says with a shrug. "I mean, it works for gremlin bites."

"Gremlin bites and body switching are totally different things," said Jenny. "One's a toxin, and the other--well, only way I know of getting it to happen is using magic. Though if you wanna wait and see if it gets better, then work on it if it doesn't? Can't blame you there."

"Well, you never know with this school. Things seem to work a bit differently. Um, I did find out some stuff about the animal spirits, though." Bridge takes out a spiral notebook where he's written some stuff about Power quests.

"That would be why I specified that it was the only way I knew of," said Jenny. "Unless you're really--well, whoever's body that is--and you've been bitten by a gremlin and just believe you're Bridge in someone else's body. Which, hey, entirely possible."

She tilted her head and looked at the notebook curiously. "Lay it on me, then."

"Okay, it looks like there's a few different ways that Rangers in the past got the Power- either it was assigned to them, they sought it deliberately, or they found it by accident. Um, one of those times when they went deliberately looking for it was one of those times that involved animal spirits. And from the accounts I've read, I'm pretty sure that the spirits chose the Rangers, and they weren't bestowed by some outside force."

"So it sounds like a personality match was involved," said Jenny. "And while I don't know the details, you might want to do some research on vision quests."

"Vision quests," Bridge mutters to himself as he writes that down in the notebook. "Got it."
