Fall 2013 Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon

Jackson had entirely forgotten about the club thing over the summer. So, yeah, there wasn't going to be any organized lacrosse this fall. Probably for the best since they seemed to have like half of Beacon Hills' team going here now from various world's and it could have gotten messy.

And Jackson also kind of stumbled upon the club fair by accident. But since he was here, he grabbed a copy of the schedule and decided to at least give a cursory glance to what was on offer this time around. Even if he probably wasn't going to sign up for anything. There were better ways of celebrating having managed almost an entire full moon under control. But still.

Club fair.

"If you have any pointers, I'd love to pick your brain about it sometime since it sounds like you know what you're doing," Jessica said.

"The main thing --" other than being an actual shapeshifter, "-- is to never back down. No matter how dumb the lie you thought of on the spur of the moment. If they think you're an idiot, it's okay, because they don't actually know it's you!"

"The idiot part would have been tough that time with the job. It was at a pretty high tech lab," Jessica said. "But I like the spirit of what you're saying. That makes a lot of sense."

"We could give it a go some night," Raven suggested. "Something low key, like a night out on the town."

Well, it was lower key than a job application, anyway.

"Sounds like fun. I'm in," Jessica said. "I should warn you that I do have a slightly wacky history with nights out on the town, but I swear none of it has ever been my fault."

Somebody else sent the assassin after her, after all. Totally not her fault.

"Now you've got me curious," Raven said. "Did it involve the police?"

"There was a bit of a bar fight. It got taken care of. No harm, no foul. And more importantly, no arrests," Jessica noted.

"That's good. It's always best to avoid arrests. Or angry villagers with pitchforks."

She might sound like she's talking from experience, there.

"And here I thought villagers had moved on to lawn mowers by the '50s," Jessica noted.

"They save the pitchforks for special occasions."

"Good to know. If we see pitchforks, we should feel honored and run like hell," Jessica said.

"I'd swap the order --" and add in a panic attack, "-- but yes."

"I'm a good multitasker, so I'll be doing both at the same time," Jessica said. "But let's focus on not letting it come to that in the first place."
