Bluffing: Can't Read My... [Period 5, Wed]
Today in the casino, there were three smaller tables, each with two chairs facing each other and two stacks of personalised chips, with Bond centrally located between the three.
"Good afternoon," he said. "Today you'll be playing a form of straight poker, which is where each player is dealt their complete hand and all bets are made against those cards. You'll be playing in pairs for three rounds of three hands each, changing partners after each round, which will hopefully give you an idea of how different people have different playing and bluffing styles."
While they found their first assigned tables, Bond continued. "Remember, having the better hand does not necessarily translate to automatically winning, through it certainly helps. You want to play the player across from you not the cards, read their body language and facial cues, try to determine if they think they have a good hand and take that into consideration when placing bets and raising stakes."
