Breaking Things 101, Wednesday, Period 3

There was a row of targets on one wall of the Danger Shop today. And a little way away, there were boxes and boxes of vinyl records. Mostly bad music from the late eighties and early nineties.

"Today, we're breaking things with precision," Electroclash announced. "By which I mean we're throwing vinyl at targets. If you need more specific instructions, ask Sparkle."

She hadn't even checked to see if he was present. She just didn't think anyone should have needed more instruction than that.

Aw, fuck yeah. This sort of thing was what Sparkle lived for. He was grinning ear-to-ear as he picked up such melodic masterpieces as 'Purple People Eater' and 'Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini,' and launched them with reckless abandon toward the targets like frisbees of 78 rpm musical doom.

Vinyl shattered amazingly.

Raven hesitated at this one. She hadn't even heard most of this music. And she'd just been arguing about the wonders of vinyl with Theo a little while ago.

"Who is 'Right Said Fred'?" she asked anyone who might be listening as she picked up a record. "Is he terrible?"

Zeela didn't know any of this music. She also didn't care. She was alternating between seeing how fast she could whip records at once and then how accurately she could hit them.

No surprise, speed was way more fun.

Goose didn't really recognize any of the music but that didn't stop him from selecting a few at random and throwing them as fast as he could at the targets.

This was turning out to be more enjoyable than what he thought it would as he watched the vinyl shatter into pieces when they hit the target.

Yeah, if you needed help figuring out how to throw records, Sparkle would give it.

But not before mocking you relentlessly, first.
