Cafeteria, Monday Lunchtime

You know who went on dates in a school cafeteria?

No one.

Which was just as well because Isabelle and Raleigh weren't here on a date, either. She was crystal clear on that fact, anyway. Because she was here just to pass some time and be entertained and maybe learn a few amusing mundane factoids. Who knew about poor Raleigh?

"So," she said, stepping into that all-important place of occasionally questionable nourishment. "This is the cafeteria."

[ooc: Izzy's here with/for her not-date, but omg it's an open cafeteria post which is indeed open!]

The most romantic! Aren't you romanced?

"It's meat. That's a mystery." Keep up, Isabelle.

"Mystery meat or the cafeteria?"

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-09 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm pretty sure the mystery meat thing is just a joke." But the lunch lady was serving something ominously gray.

"Less and less each passing minute," Raleigh admitted.

"Seriously?" It was more the fact that the lunch lady looked creepy than the hand grabbing that startled him. Because that would happen later.

Damn it, Isabelle.

Raleigh sighed, trailing after her. If they got in trouble, well, let's be honest. He'd probably take the fall for her.

The lunch lady grunted something that might have been 'beef', but it certainly didn't look like beef. Well, maybe some alien beef.

"I think maybe this is why people learn to cook in the common rooms," Raleigh said, eyeing it warily.

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-09 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"Maybe it was once beef?" Long, long ago. In a distant land.

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-09 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe they did!

"It's an important school experience!" It totally was, okay?

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-09 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, yeah. Like sports." Not that he played them.

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-09 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hockey a little bit." Because who didn't love a violent sport on ice?

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-09 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"With the sticks and nets too," Raleigh joked.

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-09 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"To win?" Look, don't bring logic into sport, Isabelle.

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-09 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, he'd agree that a fight made way more sense.

"It's just a game. I don't think there's really a point to it."

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-09 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"Why not?" Oh, Isabelle. Yours was a sad childhood.

[identity profile] notajaegerbomb.livejournal.com 2013-09-10 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Raleigh just shrugged at that. "Then don't play them."
