Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.

Seriously Fandom, wtf flower crowns?

Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.

[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies!]

Scott didn't know why anyone would want to hang out with Jackson any number of times a month. "Ignoring's good," he said with a nod. "I'm good with ignoring."

"You're gonna have to do a lot of ignoring here," Stiles said. "There's this broody guy with amazing stubble? His name is Derek. He's my friend, but his social skills absolutely suck until you get to know him so you might want to ignore him too."

"It might've been--" Stiles stopped himself when he realized, no, it probably wasn't someone different. "Yeah that was Derek. He's not as creepy as he seems at first."

Okay, that was a lie.

"We're pretty close," he admitted. "Like, he's pretty much my best friend here. Since you weren't here. But you're here now."

This was confusing.

"And you're here," Scott said. "But also back in Beacon Hills?" he checked, somewhat hesitantly, because yes. Confusing.

"Yes," he said with a nod. "And I have my own Scott who is back in Beacon Hills. But he's visited here before."

A deep breath, because wow, this was kind of insane. But! Stiles was here. That part was awesome. "Not gonna lie, the lack of you was pretty much the only downside to coming here. Well, that and I feel bad leaving my mom all alone," he admitted. "But this was also her idea."
