Around the World in Seven Weeks [Tuesday, August 6th]

"Today we are going to Cambodia, a country in Southeast Asia," Ben said, pointing it out on the map. "It's near Vietnam and is known for its insane dictatorship, so please, please don't get too lost."

"As always, you will have two tasks to complete before finding us," Anakin said. "Travel safely."

In Village Life, you have to retrieve a set of toy teeth from a dentist, a doll from a tailor, and a basketball from a floating basketball court all on Tonlé Sap. You have to score a basket before returning all the items you collect to the Siem Reap Harbor where you will receive their next clue.

In Village Work, you have to go into Tonlé Sap and retrieve two full baskets of fish from underwater (and the water is kinda nasty) and return them to the Siem Reap Harbor to receive the next clue.

Korra figured getting the fish would be easier.

And if the water seemed a little cleaner and clearer after she got out, it wasn't like anyone could've seen her doing anything under the water.

Theo went with the fish task because he'd never been great at finding things. When he saw the state of the water, he almost turned back to do the other task.

Ew. He silently asked if there was anything Ange or Dev could do here and they both had nothing.

So, Theo stripped off his shirt and went diving, hating things the whole way down. It took awhile to get the first basket but he finally snagged. He came up for air and then went down for the other one and snagged it.

Gross water.

Billy figured the fish part would be a little easier, although the nastiness of the water definitely made this part take longer than he expected.

Kathy dove into the water with barely a pause. Her jobumo still lived in a small village Korea, and her family visited for a few weeks almost every summer, especially when they were kids. She'd learned early on that Korea was really, really hot, so it was play in the gross-for-America water or swelter. More than anything, this just brought back memories of being a little kid.

Go into Angkor Wat and find an echo chamber among the hundreds of rooms where if you beat your chest, it will echo in the room. You can then pick up a stone frieze displaying the next clue on the reverse.

Well, this wasn't going to be hard at all. That was sarcasm, of course. Theo went from room to room to room, smacking his chest until his chest started to hurt.

He trudged into one more room and smacked his chest and it finally, FINALLY echoed. Thank goodness. He headed off towards the finish line.

This would have been so much easier if she were Beifong, then Korra could just close her eyes and tap her way to the room with the most echoes.

Instead she had to wander for a while before she found the right room.

Chest beating was a little too macho for Billy, and he was really grateful he found the room without having to go through all of them.

Kathy could wander through the temple and bang on her chest to find the echo chamber. Or she could wander up to the group of South Korean tourists and ask them if they could point her in the right direction.

Yeah, she got a few weird looks because she was still pretty soaked, but they were happy to tell her where to go, and minutes later, Kathy was strutting out of the temple on her way to the third location.

You didn't have to eat anything gross today!

Theo jogged in, still rubbing his chest but not too badly beaten down by today's class. The water had been gross but he was still pretty clean.

Well, it looked like there were less people here already than last week?

Billy ran up quickly, grinning when the entire class wasn't waiting for him. He would take that kind of victory for sure.

Yay for nothing gross! Though that hadn't stopped Kathy from grabbing some noodles from a street vendor on her way to the meeting spot. Mmm! Noodles!
