Archery 102 [Friday, 1st Period]

Clint was feeling a little weird, and it wasn't just from not catching up on sleep from ~~Comic-Con~~ being stuck in a locker. Still, the targets were set up, along with bows and quivers and arrows in every color of the rainbow because having options was always nice.

"Hey guys, sorry about not being here last week. I got swallowed up by a locker and yeah, it was about as fun as it sounds. Today, I want to go over the basics of shooting, and then you guys can have a chance to practice and get some one-on-one tips if you need them."

There was probably a lot of arms involved, just saying.

All the arrows are regular arrows - for now. Mwahaha.

Bringing up namesmushes might earn you an odd look.

Megan had an uncanny ability to get everywhere she wanted to. She was practically a Madrox. So it shouldn't have been a surprise to see her in this class, gaping a little.

"Oh my god. Can I... Can I touch your arms?"

Clint blinked a little at Megan. Did he have another student he'd forgotten about? He had only seen them once, after all. "Uh." Good answer there, Clint. "Sure, I guess?"

"EEEEEEEE," Megan said eloquently, and rushed over, stopping to get her phone out and pull up the camera. "Hold on," she told him, "I have to make sure to get us both in it or no one will believe me."

This was going to lead to him on Instagram with several hashtags of "arms," all including a varying number of A's.

Oh, what a good thing it was that Tony didn't have a multiverse computer system. "Uh," Clint said again, oh so eloquently, and then the lightbulb went off. "Are you one of the people visiting?"

"Yep! I'm Megan. Hold on one second aaaaaand smile!"

OH GOD SHE GOT TO TOUCH THE ARMS SHE GOT TO TOUCH THE ARMS EVERYONE BE JEALOUS.

Clint played along and actually did smile, because hey, why the hell not? "So, are you guys potential students or something?"

"Oh my god, I wish," Megan said, still touching his arm. "And I admire your commitment to character." Since this was clearly a set, even if she couldn't figure out where the cameras were. "No, but I am a huge fan and just had to meet you. You're such a hunk."

~~Still not weird.~~

"You know, I just don't hear that often enough." Stop encouraging the possibly underage girl, Clint. "I'm not sure what you mean by 'commitment to character' though."

"Oh, I get it," Megan said with a wink. "You must be method."

Hand: still on the arm. Jesus, Megan, you can't take it with you.

Clint would pry her off if she started grabbing anything else, but for now this was kind of adorable. "Yeah, I'm really... method," he said, because playing along with crazy people tended to be safer. "Who else have you been visiting?"

"Oh my god, like everyone. Pinkie, and oh my god Derek is so hot in person, and Anakin freaking Skywalker and Priestly signed my boob," Megan said proudly. "I'd ask you, but I heard you're dating your costar IRL so I'm gonna save it for Mike."

"Yeah, Kitty might get angry if I sign something that's not hers." At least that was true. "Derek... you might want to watch out for him. I know he's... well, hot to women, but he's not the best guy."

"Duh. That's totally what makes him so hot," Megan explained.

Clint rolled his eyes. "What is it with teenagers and bad boys?" he asked.

"They're dreamy," she sighed.

Don't feel bad, Clint. She still wasn't letting go of your arm.

"And dangerous," Clint pointed out. "You should just stick with guys with nice arms."

Look, Clint knew where his assets were.

Though no one had offered to bounce a quarter off his arms yet, just saying. Assets.

"Maybe a bad boy with nice arms... So what's coming up for you?" Megan asked. "Let's hear some spoilers!"

"Uh, running my class? Trying not to get eaten by any more lockers?" Clint said. "I'm probably not that interesting in the grand scheme of things."

"Oh my god, are you kidding me? You're totally one of the most popular in the fandom. You should see Tumblr." DON'T LOOK AT TUMBLR, KITTY ALREADY MADE THAT MISTAKE. "They just have to have so much in store for you! Adventures and ship stuff and taking your shirt off a lot!"

Yeah, Clint knew not to look at Tumblr from Natasha, he was good there. "Do you think it's good things or bad things in store?"

"Oh, good, definitely," she said, and paused. "Well, mostly. You're like the everyman put here for viewers to relate to, so you'll get the whole happy ending and everything, but they'll have to give you some bad things just to keep it interesting before they fix it."

She'd written Tumblr posts on this.

As the webmaster of the Clitty fangroup, Kara had a God-given right to see these arms up close.

"You just shouldn't be allowed to wear shirts," she decided out loud. "Guh."

"I would have made that same suggestion, but I think the school's got a dress code," Clint said with a smirk. "And welcome. Are you visiting?"

"Well, I'm pretty sure my husband Billy Ray would miss me eventually," Kara said, "so yeah, just visiting. I'm a huge, huge, HUGE fan." She moved closer, fluttering her eyelashes in a way that looked like a bug had just flown into one. "HUGE."

"Uh, thanks, I think?" For all his bravado, actual fangirls kind of weirded him out. "What exactly are you a fan of?"

"Well, your ass for one," Kara said. "Have you ever tried bouncing a quarter off of it? Because I have a quarter."

"No, I can't say that I have," Clint said slowly. "Never really been that drunk. But uh, thank you?"

"No, no thank you," Kara said, smiling. "You make my television a much shinier place."
