Archery 101 [Friday, Second Period]

"I don't know about you guys, but the end of this summer session kind of snuck up on me," Clint said as everyone filed into the Danger Shop and got set up with their bows. "I'm not going to make you take a final or anything next week, so just keep practicing like you've been doing. Try to challenge yourself if you want to and if you need any help, I'm right here."

Honestly, watching them was getting to be a lot of fun. Who knew that could happen?

Like summer is almost half over!

The stationary and the moving targets are all there, ready to be hit!

Clint was so ready for coffee. Weeks after weird weekends were really long.

Natalie had coffee! She was also finally seeming both well-rested as well as in an okay mood. About damn time, too.

"Hey, how's it going?" Clint asked. A happier Natalie put him in a better mood too.

"Fine," Natalie shrugged. "No drama and no trips this week."

Okay, not being able to remember much of last weekend sucked, but she was mostly over it by now.

"You?"

"Well, I'm the right age and still unmarried, so I'm doing better than I was this weekend, I think," Clint said with a laugh. "As far as weird times go, I guess things could have been worse."

"Definitely." Because, well, there'd been brainwashy and traumatizing weird times in the past. "Not that I can say I remember too much. But I do remember it being fine."

God, she'd been happy and comfortable with herself.

"I remember you were awesome, somehow," Clint said. "Come to think of it, I don't think I really talked to anyone who was miserable."

"I do't even remember that much." Shrug. "I... kind of just remember the base feeling of talking to different people. But I don't think any of them were particularly bad encounters at least."

"Most of what I remember is from being around Kitty," Clint said. "The important thing is, it's likely I'll still be hot when I'm older. That is such a load off my chest."

"I wasn't aware that was something we should have worried about in your case."

She sounded amused, in her own quiet way.

I could use some coffee too om nom nom.
