Customers? Not Always Right [Thursday, June 13, 2013, 2nd period]

"Hey there, folks," Josh said as the class found themselves in a simulation that looked suspiciously like the Perk. "Today you're gonna be baristas, which is Italian for 'I'm writing a novel on my breaks.'"

Not really. Josh just thought he was hilarious.

"You're going to take coffee orders and not roll your eyes when someone comes in to order a half-caf skim milk latte with three pumps of hazelnut flavoring and two extra shots of espresso. So...good luck with that."

He handed out aprons. "And try not to kill yourself on the espresso machine. I'm pretty sure that if you push the right combination of buttons, you'll launch nukes and start World War III."

Mercy was ready, but not sure she could refrain from eye-rolling.

"Hello," said Mercy's customer. "I need three baby cinos."

No, she wouldn't say what those were.

"I'm sorry," Mercy said, "I'm not familiar with a baby cino. It's my first day."

The woman sniffed. "Well, I'm not going to do your job for you."

"No, ma'am, but an explanation so that I can do it would be nice."
