The students had been told to wear their swimsuits under their clothing today and then to meet up at the Portalocity office.

"Today is going to be hot," Ben said with a smile. "You're going to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates and it's about 115 degrees already--a nice early summer morning."

Anakin grew up on Tatooine, so that kind of weather didn't impress him much. "Please be on your best behavior: the Emiratees are more liberal than many of their neighbors, but that doesn't mean they love sleeveless shirts and miniskirts," he warned. "If you're concerned about what you're wearing, we've provided pants and button-up shirts for you to change into. Other than that, have fun, don't get too lost in the souq, and we'll see you at the finish line.q

Wet again?

Travel to Deira, the commerce neighborhood of Dubai. For Gold, continue to the Gold Souq, where it's estimated there's ten tons of gold present in the market at any given moment. Find the marked gold shop and use the precision scale to weigh out US$500,000 worth of gold to the nearest ounce. The price of gold per ounce is displayed on a television monitor and changes by the minute, so this will require both math skills and patience.

In Glass, you go to the Spice Market and open a crate, then unwrap and assemble twelve hookahs â using all parts from the crate and using three displayed hookahs as guides â before receiving your next clue. This will also require patience.

Travel from the souqs via taxi (going insanely fast, sorry) to the Atlantis Resort on the entirely manmade Palm Jumeirah island. There you will make your way to the Leap of Faith water slide, where you will have to slide six stories down a nearly 90° incline and through a tunnel beneath the aquarium's shark lagoon.

Hope no one's afraid of heights...

Fun fact: two of the other guests are a British/Irish couple currently living in Dubai. They have SO MANY weird Dubai stories, man.

Korra

Don't ask how many hookahs Korra broke before she managed to assemble the twelve she needed. Just don't.

Well, this part was a lot more fun. Especially when you bent the water to go faster.

Korra was not counting how many people where already here, that way only lay disappointment.

Dubai is pretty weird, gotta say.

"You're seventh today," Anakin said. "How'd you like the slide?"

"Oh, it was okay." She hadn't been that loud coming down, right?

"It's pretty tall," Anakin commented. "I thought it looked like a lot of fun."

Because Skywalkers were all adrenaline junkies.

They showed us their alcohol licenses! And apparently work for a sheik who forgets what assets he owns half the time! And they all go shopping in London for millions of pounds whenever they go on vacation!

Dear god, Dubai.

Theo Langstrom

Theo didn't really feel like he'd be good at either of these.

"Go for the hookahs, Theo!" Devi said, fists pumping. "And convince someone familiar with the things to help you. It's not like it's against the rules! No one said you couldn't do it!"

"It it against the rules, Dev," Ange said, frowning. "It would be cheating and give Theo an unfair advantage!"

"That's the point!" Dev roared.

Theo did choose to try and assemble the hookahs and he had a momentary desire to convince someone to help him put the things together but the teacher was kind of scary and he figured he'd be found out so he went about putting them together himself

It took FOREVER and it wasn't helped by Dev and Ange arguing loudly in his head, causing Theo to yell at them (which meant he was yelling to no one) a few times. That drew some looks.

Theo was already way behind because of the hookahs but he didn't have any trouble with this. The drop was pretty far down there so he took a few deep breaths and took off.

He was pretty sure he had his eyes closed the whole way down.

Theo was pretty sure this had been his worst finish ever but he was just glad to have gotten through it. And the slide had made things a little more fun so he wasn't too upset when he finally got to the check in.

"You didn't try it already?" He was missing out then.

Maddie Berry

Both of these sounded like they'd end her in last place, so Maddie went with the second thing, since it didn't mean doing math in the summer. And as it turned out, she didn't have that hard a time putting the first hookah together, and once she got the first one down, the rest were easy.

Maddie's driver didn't get lost, and frankly she'd done way scarier things than this, so all she really had to do was close her eyes and go down the slide.

Screaming like a girl the whole time but that didn't mean it wasn't fun... when she was safely at the bottom.

Maddie was wet, but she looked happy enough about it.

This did not make up for last week.
