Cultural Appreciation, Period Four
Today they were meeting in a classroom once more, with desks arranged in a half-circle around two long tables.
The tables in the centre were piled high with pancakes. And crêpes. And Pfannkuchen. And pannenkoek. And raggmunk. And naleśniki. And really, any other version of a pancake-like food you could possibly imagine, along with a multitude of sweet and savoury toppings to go with them.
"The pancake," Thor said, "is a popular breakfast item found in many cultures throughout this world. Although most variations feature the same basic ingredients, details like the size and thickness of the pancake varies from region to region. It is not always a breakfast food, either. Some cultures serve a savoury version topped with foods such as meats and cheeses- as a dinner item."
Yes, that was just a lecture about pancakes.
