Nicolas Cage Appreciation- Monday- 3rd period

A new semester, a new class in the Danger Shop Theater. Well, it was sort a new class. More like it was the same class with a new name and no essays. Not that Jaye remembered to give out essays last semester. Anyway.

"Welcome to Nicolas Cage Appreciation," she began. "If you're not supposed to be here... fake it. Everyone's going to look at you funny if you walk out on a movie class like you have something better to do." Very helpful, Jaye. "Today we're going to be watching one of his early works, but first I want you to stand up and tell me who you are and one thing you like about Nicolas Cage."

Meaning you had to make something up, probably.

"Jim Kirk and I like that he's giving me another opportunity to watch movies in class," Jim said simply. "I'm not really familiar with this guy but hey, I'll spend a few weeks immersing myself in his body of work."

So he could watch movies in class.

Julie, a girl from the valley, meets Randy, a punk from the city. They are from different worlds and find love. Somehow they need to stay together in spite of her trendy, shallow friends.

This movie sounded like it was going to be terrible which made it all the better in Jim's mind. He sat back and crossed his fingers behind his head to start getting himself familiar with this Cage guy.
