Improving Your Skills [Friday, 3rd Period]

When the students arrived to class today, they'd find the desks arranged into two groups of rows with a wide, empty space between them.

"Hey guys," Clint said, doing his best to look calm and collected and not at all rumpled. "The instructions for today are simple. Girls on one side of the room, boys on the other side, watch the movie and try to behave yourselves."

No, the movie didn't have much to do with this class, but Clint figured it was more important to go for something that wouldn't make the students want to climb all over each other than anything else.

... This classroom configuration was the opposite of what Sparkle needed, today. Especially after spending his morning working the first half of his shift at Dite's.

But he also wasn't about to speak up and announce to the classroom at large that he was gay, so he was going to put his head down on his desk, and groan, and try to focus on fish singing about swimming, all with his eyes closed.

Yeaaaah, this arrangement wasn't really working for Alec either.

That was how a very neatly-folded piece of paper found its way on Sparkle's desk about half an hour through the movie. Do you want to do something tonight? -A

In Alec's defense, he didn't necessarily mean, you know, doing it.

Just... something. Something it-adjacent. Ideally.

The answering note?

Oh fuck yes.

... Sparkle could be honest and to-the-point when he wanted to be.

Alec grinned to himself when he got it. Then he glanced to make sure Clint wasn't watching before he wrote back the responding note.

Prom first? We don't have to stay for all of it.

The best thing about Alec was that he didn't mean that as flirtatiously as it came out. It was just him being direct as usual, and completely sincere. PLEASE, SPARKLE. DON'T MAKE HIM STAY FOR ALL OF IT.

Promises, promises. Prom first, it'll give me something to look forward to.

The best thing about Sparkle was that he did mean that as flirtatiously as it came out.

... And it was going to leave him antsy in his seat until the end of class, as a result.

Oh, was Alec grinning now. And his handwriting was a bit more of a scrawl than the tidy print of the past few notes when he wrote back, See you then.
