Flight- Monday- 3rd period
Today the students in the Danger Shop were... on a plane. Like, in the back of it. Anyone who got nervous about things might want to start worrying about now.
"I did promise you guys several different types of flight," Jaina said, loudly enough to be heard over the engines. "Which today means you're going to be skydiving. This means once you guys are all settled with your equipment, I'm going to open this door, and you're going to jump. Normally when you do this, you have an expert tandem jumping with you. Since we're in the Danger Shop, we're going to skip that."
She gave them all a rundown of the equipment and how to put it on, along with how to pull the cord and when, and continued, "Remember, this being the Danger Shop, you can't get hurt doing this. You're going to land just fine. If for any reason you want to sit this one out, just say the word and you'll stay up here. Oh, and if anyone has normal flight powers, please don't cheat and use them here, okay?"

Which was a little ridiculous for someone who did have flight powers but there you go. Freaking out wasn't a rational thing. Also, this was definitely more falling than flying.

He didn't look too concerned. He mostly looked like the parachute was a kind of novel idea, really.

She stretched, covering a yawn, then began getting herself into the parachute.

She didn't get to find out what happened if you let yourself fall though; she wasn't that crazy after all.

Meaning she spent most of the lecture single, double, and triple-checking the parachute, then cut ahead of at least one person in line and only got about half of her "GERONIMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" out before plummeting away.
