Student Council [Friday, Lunchtime]

Today, when the student council members arrived, they'd find sandwiches and salads waiting for them, as well as a few packages of cookies: chocolate-chip and some accidental but surprisingly tasty-looking sugar-free peanut butter.

"Good afternoon. We've reached a very boring time of the semester," she said with a laugh. "By which I mean there's nothing on the horizon in terms of family members to be entertained or dances to be planned. If anyone has suggestions for things to take on in the near future, feel free to speak up." Or they could just pat themselves on the back for maintaining order and proper glitter use thus far.

"I think it might be fun to do some kind of casino night," Karla said, raising her hand. "Like...30's style in the community center or something? People can play for fake money, but maybe be able to buy prizes with that fake money--gift certificates from shops in town, small items, stuff like that. If we get donations, it might not even cost us all that much." She shrugged. "No real reason, actually, I just think it sounds like fun."

"What does 30's style entail?" Yeul asked, leaning forward. "I did follow the general idea and I think it would be fun. I am just wondering what a setting," she was guessing that 30's style meant the setting, "would entail."

"Umm, Prohibition for one, which is useful for not serving alcohol," Karla said. Earth history was not her forte, though she was technically correct. Ish. Sorta. For three years of it. She called in her phone and did an image search for 30's casino. "Guys in suits, ladies in long dresses, certain kind of music, stuff like that." She slid her phone over to show Yeul what she meant though I could find nothing useful.

They could ignore the less-pleasant aspects of the 30's, like segregation and what all. Maybe replace it with glitter!
