Spring 2013 Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon

Jackson couldn't believe he was here again. At some Maryland boarding school, and some... quaint little freaking club fair, heading a lacrosse group that was really his own personal stress relief than any kind of an actual team.

But he was here again. And his club was listed on the club schedule. Guess this was really happening. Again.

And this time, they even had cheerleaders.

Jackson sighed and went to set up his table.

Petra felt a little bad about having to miss what should have been her first day at her new job, but scheduling, what were you gonna do? She'd meticulously decorated her booth along its rainbow theme, hung up the club banner, and there were rainbow cupcakes because come on.

Now she sat waiting for people to drop by, a welcoming smile on her face.

Well, if there were free cupcakes to be given out, there was gonna be a Toby to take advantage of that.

"Best part of the club fair," he told Petra, holding up a cupcake in a sort of toast before unpeeling the wrapper slightly to take a bite.

"Enjoy it while it's here," Petra told him, "because I'm graduating, and next year there might be no cupcakes."

The horror.

"Ugh, it's January, don't talk about graduation," Toby stuck his tongue out at her. Too many of his friends were graduating this year, and it was just gonna be weird without them. He wasn't ready to think about that yet.

"I know, it's so far away," she agreed. "There's still a whole semester left to make fabulous." She sing-songed 'fabulous,' yes.

"Does this look like a doubtful face?" he asked, wide-eyed.

"No," Petra decided. "Good. But you have to do your part, too, Mister, you hear me? Or no more cupcakes for you."

She was joking. She would not withhold pastry.

"Hey," he held up both hands, palms outward (yes, he'd finished that cupcake) in a 'I'm totally innocent here' sort of gesture. "I'm signing up for the club, aren't I? Plus," he gave her a knowing look. "I'm way too cute to withhold cupcakes from."

"Hmm." Petra considered this. "I guess that's true...but it's not the only criteria, you know. Standards must be maintained."

"Not yet," Petra had to admit. "But when I do, it'll probably involve glitter."
