There Will Be Cake [Tuesday, Period Three]

The Danger Shop was set up similarly to last week, except there seemed to be a great deal more ingredients, and each workstation was set up with a different set.

"Good afternoon," Bond greeted them. "We're continuing with baking this week, however we'll be doing something a bit different by making biscuits. By which I mean cookies, rather than what Americans refer to as biscuits, which are more like scones." Your teacher was British, deal with it.

"Now since there are more varieties of biscuits than you could count, you'll have a choice of several basic kinds to try to make today. You can choose to make only one, or you can try to make several if you think you're capable. There are also icing supplies if you wish to decorate the finished product."

Like she'd done in the previous class, Kate got to class a few minutes early to talk to the hot teacher.

"Mr. Bond?" she asked. "I'm Kate Bishop. I'm supposed to be in your class, but I couldn't make it last week. I'm sorry."

Kate on the other hand was a little nonplussed with the reeled off list. "Locker. But bad luck to run into the locker situation so..."

Bond nodded. "I haven't had that particular misfortune yet," he said, which yes, implied he'd run into the others. "But last week was mostly introductions so you've haven't got anything to make up."

"Thanks," she said, unable not to wonder about the other situations. And could she shoot a gremlin if she had her bow to hand?

Kate paused then asked the question that had been bugging her since Jessica mentioned the possibility. "So is this really a class about cake or is it a stealth gym class? Cause I heard the second was possible."

"It's a cooking class," Bond assured her. "I'd call it a gym class if it was one." And just lie about how hard a gym class it would be.

She was maybe a tiny bit disappointed because the stealth class sounded a little hilarious. "Sounds good. Thanks, Mr.Bond."
