Flight- Monday- 3rd period
The class was meeting in the flight shed today, where Jaina was standing in front of the class, only speaking when she was sure everyone had arrived.
"Welcome to Flight class. My name's Jaina Solo, and while some of you know me by now, let's do the usual first day spiel for the ones who don't. I'm a Jedi, ex-military-" And that still stung to say, yes. "-and made it into my first squadron when I was sixteen. I'm mostly used to flying starfighters, in space rather than in atmosphere, but overall, if it can fly, I can fly it. So this class is going to be dealing with flying those kinds of ships, along with Earth-based craft, either in the Danger Shop or in here in the simulator. Which, by the way, you're only to treat nicely. If anything breaks, you not only have to deal with me, but with Professor Skywalker, and trust me, you don't want that." She could say that after years of getting yelled at.
"We're going to be cliche and do introductions today, and you'll get in the sim next week. Today I want to know what I'm dealing with, so you're going to go around and say your name, where you're from, and what kind of experience you've got. Let's start with you."

Listen to the lecture
Hahaha just kidding, she's just short.
Re: Listen to the lecture
But apparently they were going to actually fly things (on a simulator but whatever) so she was okay with it.

Introductions
Re: Introductions
Yes, in the 17th century.
No, planes weren't supposed to have existed then.

Impressively, none of that was true.

Compared to Atton, Cade was being positively honest!

Evan was being both open-faced and honest, and maybe a little rambly!

This was possibly not the clearest explanation of Leapfrog ever, but the 'Frog was hard to sum up.

Re: Introductions
She had had some small experience with driving, but Takeda had been mostly focusing on preparing her mind rather than her body, as creepy as that sounded.

Re: Introductions
"I'm Ace. I'm from nineteen eighty-six, but I've been to space in the future, too. Not that I got to fly anything." She could drum up a bit of a sourpuss for that. "Might've, if some people didn't get all touchy about letting anybody else have a look at their cockpit."
By which she meant some people named Glitz, and not so much letting as finding, and not so much having a look as trying to snag a lift offplanet by hiding under the vast pile of empty lager cans and sandwich wrappers behind the co-pilot's chair.
