fandomhigh | Emergency Student Council Meeting [Friday, Lunchtime]

Early this morning, Minerva had had an embarrassing revelation - and not that her office was filled with strange objects that clearly had no place being in a school - and had gone straight to the PA system to ~~handwavily~~ call for a student council meeting.

(Funny how some things about schools didn't actually change much over time.)

She gave everyone some time to arrive after the bell rang - not that anyone would be late, of course - and then stepped up to the front of the room. "Good afternoon!" she said in a clear American accent. "I don't know what's wrong with me, and I apologize to all of you. I can't believe we've made it to Friday without planning what kind of school party we want to have tomorrow! We don't have time to put together a festival, and it's too cold for a beach party, and we still don't have that roller rink--oh! Maybe we should have a sock hop!" Oh yes, a good, wholesome dance would be just the thing to bring everyone together. "Do you all agree? Who would like to help?"

[OCD is up, have at it! Since Minerva sent the call out over the PA, the meeting is open to all the students, and teachers if they want to come by too!]

Well, this wasn't at all disturbing. Lex was beginning to wonder if he'd missed something odd happening over the last few days.

Yeul's amusement of this entire situation was simply deepening.

She didn't understand it but it was greatly amusing.

An idiot ball rolled into the room, followed closely by Bucky, who pounced on it and rolled into the middle of the room. Normally, he'd consider that kind of behavior beneath him, but he'd been feeling less argumentative ever since he woke up. He didn't know what was going on in here, but there were people! He'd stay and watch them, because he was mysterious like that.

Instead of taking a seat, he laid down in the middle of the floor, right where anyone coming in the room could trip over him or step on his tail.

Bucky raised a paw. "I don't understand," he commented. "Are we supposed to hop on the socks, or hop while wearing socks?"

Alec was highly suspicious of what was going on, and he not only wanted no part of it, but he was beginning to think the grey people should be quarantined.

So he had nothing to say this meeting, thanks.

"Do we need people-sized socks?" Rilla followed up, playing with her pretty, pretty blue necklace.

"I...don't think so?" Minerva said. "It's a dance! In your socks! Because shoes might hurt."

"What if we don't have any socks?" Bucky asked.
